Somewhere In My Heart
Seems like a part of me is dying.
This place I've called home for years now.
This place will soon be a memory.
Part of the past, but not lost or gone...
There are things that I will always miss.
The laughter of friends, their smiles too.
The adventures we found ourselves on.
All these precious memories will stay.
At first I was scared to tell you guys,
But this just had to be told to you.
This is not something kept a secret.
The crazy cat is out of the bag.
It'll be no surprise when I'm gone.
I don't even want to think of that.
It is so hard to accept this fact.
That one day, I won't see your faces.
I could never think about leaving.
Not a thought on my mind 'bout leaving.
Always thought I would remain here.
This place will always be my city.
In the end, I can not stop this change.
You can't leave! You have to stay! Don't Go!
Those are words that I hear frequently.
They make me want to stay forever.
This place will stay somewhere in my heart.
This upcoming change has caused sadness.
I will always remember you guys.
You guys will stay somewhere in my heart.
And due to that I'll never leave here.
I will always remain in spirit.
One day I'll come back to see you guys.
I can hardly wait until that day.
The day I see your faces again.
The day I will hug all of you guys.
The day we meet once more like old times.
The day so far off in the distance.
That change is getting closer each day.
It's best to have fun during these times.
This I say for you, my friends, to hear.
The times we had I'll cherish for life.
Until we meet again.

I wrote this piece because I am moving from my current place of residence and it saddens me.
I wrote this piece for my friends who I will dearly miss now that I will no longer see them. I tried to make it as general as possible, so more people can relate to it. That is why I choose not to mention anything too specific. Thank You for reading and commenting if you do. |
